The good thing is that when you combine bob and angel you will unlock more complex recipes for the same end product that are more complex to properly setup and balance but that also tends to be more efficient. Of course you can make a base without a single base if your bot production and research are high enough, but it's easier to have the bots only work on the smaller quantities and it lets you take advantage of the belts and inserters.Ībout angel's mods, they definitely go ridiculously well with bob's, but it adds extra layers of complexity so it might be better to at least get to oil products with only bob to know if you really want that added complexity or not.Īngel adds a lot of liquids and a massive amount of multiple-output recipes. The recommendation is to use bots for the small quantities of high cost items but main bus (and trains) for the large quantities of materials you need for everything. It also includes stronger/faster locomotives and higher capacity wagons. In theory you need a bit less iron and copper, but there are a lot more things you need to bring, potentially including a few more liquids as well.īob's mods have some significant improvements to the whole belts and inserters, with faster tier belts and configurable inserters (the robots do receive some boosts as well but they are absolutely not the only way to do things). It is absolutely possible to do a main bus but I would recommend only building things on one side of the bus or leaving a significant amount of space for extra lines.
